Pink Floyd have released 1965 – Their First Recordings, featuring six previously unreleased songs on two 7-inch singles. The EP, limited to just 1,000 copies, is available only in Europe. “To mark 50 years since the tracks were recorded, Pink Floyd have released a limited edition set of two seven-inch singles containing the band’s first recordings,” wrote the band in a statement. Four of the songs – “Lucy Leave,” “Double O Bo,” “Remember Me” and “Butterfly” – were written by Syd Barrett, while Roger Waters contributed on the fifth, “Walk with Me Sydney.” The sixth track, “I’m a King Bee,” is a cover of Slim Harpo. According to Rolling Stone, the release was likely done to avoid the expiration of copyright, which lasts 50 years in the U.K. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
