Despite being bandmates with Mick Jagger in the Rolling Stones for over 50 years, Keith Richards says he’s never bothered to listen to the singer’s solo efforts. Speaking with GQ, Keith, who recently released a solo effort of his own, called Mick’s projects “egoistic.” “[Mick’s solo records] had something to do with ego. He really had nothing to say. What did he have, two albums? She’s the Boss and Primitive Cool?” After the interviewer admitted to not having heard any of Mick’s solo efforts, Keith responded, “Nor have I. I’ll leave it at that.” With respect to his own solo efforts, Richards said, “I only did my records because [Mick] wasn’t working with us.” “I just want to make good records with good musicians, to play with the best and learn,” he added. Richards’s latest, Crosseyed Heart, is out now. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
