The 130 people killed in the attacks on Paris last month were in the minds of concert-goers as U2 played back-to-back shows in the city earlier this week. Bono memorialized the dead during the band’s performance at the city’s AccorHotels Arena. U2’s stage show featured a red, white and blue projection of all of the victims’ names on a massive screen. On the second night, Eagles of Death Metal, the band that was playing when the attacks took place, joined U2 at the concert. 89 of the 130 killed in the attacks were in attendance at the EODM show. “We stand together with the families of those killed in Paris. We stand together with the families of those killed in San Bernardino,” said Bono, wrapped in the nation’s flag. Patti Smith joined U2 for Monday night’s final song, a rendition of her 1988 classic, “People Have the Power.” The concerts were recorded for an HBO special. Copyright(c) 2015 RTTNews.com.
