Rod Stewart is set to be named as godfather to one of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood’s unborn twins. A source told the Daily Mirror: “If they christen the children, Rod will be first in line to be godparent. Ronnie has been confiding in him a lot and getting advice about changing nappies.” The 68-year-old Wood and wife Sally recently announced they were expecting twins. The babies are expected in June 2016. A spokesperson for the band said: “Needless to say, they are thrilled and overjoyed with the wonderful news.” Stewart and Wood have a friendship that spans decades.
