Bono and Hozier were among the artists to take part in a Dublin Christmas tradition, busking on the city’s shopping hub Grafton Street for charity on Christmas Eve. Kodaline, The Script, The Coronas, Glen Hansard (frontman of The Frames, and star of Irish music movie Once), Ronan Keating (Boyzone) and Dublin rockabilly singer Imelda May also took part. The annual tradition, which goes to benefit local homeless charity the Simon Community, takes place unannounced on the street every year in December. Tracks performed in 2015 included Hozier’s hit single “Take Me To Church,” U2 tracks “When Love Comes To Town” and “Every Breaking Wave” and Kodaline’s hit “All I Want.” The tradition started in Christmas Eve 2009 and has continued on with an unannounced gig in the Dublin shopping hub every year until last year, but Bono made sure to start the streak anew.
