The Allman Brothers Band appeared on the rebroadcast of last year’s Farm Aid concert. The 30th anniversary edition of the event aired on AXS TV on January 10 and was recorded live in Chicago last September. This year’s event boasted performances by Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Kacey Musgraves and Mavis Staples. The event was founded by Willie Nelson and annually raises money and awareness for issues surrounding the farming industry. In recent years the evening has served specifically to oppose large scale corporate farms and place the focus back on small family farms. In an official statement from the festival, they claim that “factory farms [that have] polluted the water and the air.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
