Iggy Pop has released a second track from his new collaboration with Josh Homme. The release is titled Post Pop Depression and the new track is titled “Break Into Your Heart.” The album is set for release on March 18 and also features Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders. Speaking with the New York Times, Pop explained that the release is in some ways a reflection on Pop’s advancing years and thoughts of his musical legacy. “What happens after your years of service? And where is the honor?” He continued, “In American life, because it’s so hypercompetitive, what happens when you’re finally useless to everyone except hopefully not yourself? What happens then? And can you continue to be of use to yourself? I had a kind of character in mind. It was sort of a cross between myself and a military veteran.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
