Santana and Journey have confirmed a string of co-headlining tour dates. The three-show run will kick off on April 13 in New York Citym before hitting Uncasville, Connecticut on April 15 and Allentown, Pennsylvania on April 16. The news comes at a sad time for Santana’s band after longtime percussionist Raul Rekow died over the summer. Rekow appeared on 16 Santana studio efforts, including 1999’s Supernatural and Carlos Santana’s most recent solo album, 2014’s Corazon. He also played on recordings by Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock and Whitney Houston, while releasing solo music and doing instructional film work. Rekow earlier played in a band that played Santana covers called Soul Sacrifice in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He then joined the Latin funk-rock band Malo, which featured Carlos Santana’s brother Jorge, and was later part of the fusion band Sapo. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
