A new box set from the Cars, The Elektra Years: 1978-1987, will feature six studio albums re-mastered by the band’s fronter and producer Ric Ocasek. The set includes The Cars (1978), Candy-O (1979), Panorama (1980), Shake It Up (1981), Heartbeat City, (1984) and Door To Door (1987). The Elektra Years: 1978-1987 is due March 11. On June 7, a limited edition vinyl version of the boxed set will be available with each 180-gram LP pressed on a different color vinyl. On March 6 the band will release Moving in Stereo: the Best of the Cars, a single disc hits collection. The singles disc features three rare recordings: a single mix for “I’m Not the One,” a live version of “Everything You Say” and a new mix from producer Philippe Zdar of the Move Like This track “Sad Song.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
