J. Geils Band singer Peter Wolf has dropped a new solo single. The new track titled “Wastin’ Time” is pulled from his upcoming solo album A Cure for the Lonliness. The album is set for release on April 8. “This was one of those songs that came as a gift,” Wolf said. “I was sitting in my kitchen late one night strumming away and sippin’ on some of Kentucky’s finest. I hit a funny inversion of a G chord and by morning the song and the bottle were both finished. It was just a reaction to one of those frustrating days we all have from time to time.” “I see this album as a continuation of a body of work that I’ve been creating for a long, long time,” Wolf said in a statement. “Each album is a challenge and every one of them has been a learning experience. I think that they’ve become more personal and revealing as I’ve continued.
