Iggy Pop has released his collaborative record with Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) for streaming. The release, which Pop says may be his last, is available via NPR. Pop’s band on the album includes Homme, Matt Helders (drummer for the Arctic Monkeys), and QOTSA’s Dean Fertita. Speaking with the New York Times, Homme said the new album is a continuation of Pop’s 1977 Bowie collab Lust for Life. “Where those records pointed, it stopped. But without copying it – that direction actually goes for miles. And when you keep going for miles, you can’t see these two records any more.” Post Pop Depression – featuring the previously released singles “Gardenia,” “Sunday,” and “Break Into Your Heart” – lands March 18. Pop kicks off his support tour for the LP at Austin, Texas’s Moody Theater on March 15. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
