Old Crow Medicine Show will perform Bob Dylan’s legendary double album Blonde on Blonde during a special set of gigs at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame. The band will give twin performances on May 12 and 13 at the HOF’s CMA Theater, which is currently home to the exhibit “Dylan, Cash and the Nashville Cats: A New Music City.” The exhibit focuses on the album which changed perceptions of Nashville to the larger folk and rock scene. “The fact that we’re living in a town that, 50 years ago – in addition to making all of this great country music – also made this wide-ranging, kaleidoscopic, carnival of an album, it’s something worth noting,” Old Crow’s fronter Ketch Secor told the Tennessean. “Nashville produced pop music’s very first double album, a record that was deeply paid attention to by every rock ‘n’ roll singer in the country, and abroad, too.” Tickets for the Old Crow Medicine Show performance go on sale April 1.
