Paul McCartney will appear in Dead Men Tell No Tales, the upcoming fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. According to Deadline, filming for the movie had wrapped before Macca signed on, but an extra scene was added to accommodate his appearance. McCartney’s role in the film has not been disclosed. Fellow English rocker Keith Richards starred in the 2011 installment, On Stranger Tides. The film also stars Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, and Orlando Bloom as Will Turner. Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites and Kaya Scodelario play new characters. The plot centers on Salazar as he pursues Sparrow who is searching for the trident used by Poseidon. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is due in theaters May 26, 2017.
