Bob Seger joined Bruce Springsteen on stage in Detroit for a cover of the Isley Brothers’ “Shout.” The Boss invited Seger up after guitarist Steven Van Zandt spotted him in the crowd. Seger chimed in on the tune on tambourine. Seger was sitting in front with his wife Nina, and, as Rolling Stone writes, “it’s unclear if his move onto the stage was planned or spontaneous.” According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Seger lives near the Palace of Auburn Hills, the venue in which the concert took place. The U.S. leg of Springsteen’s The River tour picks up at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena on April 20, before wrapping the U.S. leg with two dates – April 23 and 25 – at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
