The origins of a “mysterious” house remix of Paul McCartney’s Wings track “Nineteen Hundred And Eighty-Five” have been revealed, with two producers taking credit. Timo Maas and James Teej have claimed the remix as their own, explaining they released the new mix with McCartney’s personal approval. A limited pressing of 300 white labels of the remix was made available on the Phonica Records website on March 31 and soon sold out. Maas told Billboard that he actually started work on the remix in 2009, but set it aside because he “never fully succeeded in working the parts to a point where I really felt the end result was worth passing along.” Teej added, “I really have to give credit to Paul for taking a chance with us on this, but there is no doubt that this has all come together because of our collective and absolute love and dedication to music.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
