A Twitter user has discovered that if you play a Bruce Springsteen vinyl record at 45rpm speed, Springsteen’s voice sounds like Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. Gigwise reports that they have found a tweet from somebody with the username @chuchugoogoo, who posted a video of him playing Springsteen’s “Racing in the Street” from the Darkness on the Edge of Town LP at the faster speed. “Holy s-,” he wrote. “If you play Bruce Springsteen sped up to 45rpm he sounds EXACTLY like Stevie Nicks.” Chuchugoogoo’s profile picture is of Courteney Cox in the “Dancing in the Dark” video. Springsteen recently concluded a three-month North American leg of The River 2016 tour, with two shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. He begins a European leg on May 14 at the Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain that will keep him in the continent until July 31, when he plays the Stadion Letzigrund in Zurich, Switzerland.
