Never before seen photos of David Bowie will be included in Steve Schapiro’s new book, simply titled Bowie. Before Bowie’s death on January 10, he gave Schapiro his blessing to put together the book of rare photographs, which were mostly unpublished before the book’s release. A good portion of the photographs were taken in 1974 at a photo shoot in Los Angeles that took place from 4 p.m. until dawn. The cover of the book features a photograph of Bowie wearing blue slacks and a cropped shirt, both painted with diagonal white stripes, as he is seen clenching his fists. Schapiro is a well known journalistic photographer who has shot covers for Vanity Fair, Time, Sports Illustrated, Life, Look, Paris Match and People. Bowie was published by powerHouse Books and is available now. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
