Journey and Doobie Brothers have officially kicked off their summer tour in California. Each band debuted their respective lineup changes as the Doobie Brothers are touring with Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne as part of the live lineup, while Journey have welcomed drummer Steve Smith back into the fold. According to live reports, the Doobie Brothers dug deep for tracks such as “Another Park, Another Sunday,” “Eyes of Silver,” “Spirit” and “Sweet Maxine” as well as more well-known tracks like “Jesus Is Just Alright” and “Rockin’ Down the Highway.” On the other hand, Journey pulled out hits like “Any Way You Want It” and “Lights” as well as a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Rock and Roll.” The bands are scheduled to remain on the road together until August 30, traveling from coast to coast along the way.
