A collection of previously unseen photos of the late David Bowie shot by photographer Markus Klinko have been released. Many of the unearthed photos are outtakes from a session which provided the artwork for Bowie’s 2002 studio album Heathen. The pictures, some in color and some in black and white, show the then 54-year-old looking through a telescope and posing in a suit. Other images in the exhibition show the singer posing with wolves for a GQ cover. “Working with David was one of the best experiences because he knows exactly what he wants,” Klinko said. “If he gives you the job it’s because he wants your input. It’s a collaboration in the best sense of the word because he’s someone who isn’t going to railroad you into a corner where you just have to execute his commands. The reason we have so many shots that are unseen is because once we did the cover for Heathen – which took several hours and which he very precisely had mapped out in his head – he then turned very playful and allowed me to have fun.” The photos are on display as part of “Bowie Unseen,” which is running at Hollywood’s Mr. MusicHead Gallery until June 15. Some of the profits from prints sold will be donated to the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
