Paul McCartney will not be appearing on U.K version of the The Voice anytime soon. The former Beatle turned down an offer to be a coach on the upcoming season of the reality singing series. The Voice is moving to ITV from BBC1 for its next series, which will start in 2017. A report from The Sun recently stated that ITV bosses were “desperate” for McCartney to be one of the four coaches. A source close to the singer told NME that “An approach was made, but Paul won’t be doing it.” Robbie Williams and Jennifer Hudson have also been linked with coaching roles on the show, while there has been speculation that Tom Jones will return to the panel despite being sacked by BBC1 following the 2015 series.
