The sequel to the Who’s Quadrophenia is set to begin production. This summer To Be Someone, the sequel to the 1979 film adaptation, will be filmed and directed by Ray Burdis. The plot of this film is based on the 2011 novel of the same name written by Peter Meadows. Characters in the 1979 film inspired this new book. Phil Daniels and Toyah Wilcox are reprising their roles as Jimmy and Monkey in the new film as well. A write-up on Amazon of the book says Jimmy “goes from a very cocky, happy and sometimes confused teenager to a scooter-wrecking, car-taking, drug-dealing, cocaine-smuggling phony gangster. Jimmy’s met all them good guys, bad guys, gangsters, psychos, weirdos and even ghosts and ghouls.” To Be Someone is due for release sometime this year. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
