When Bruce Springsteen performed recently in Glasgow, Scotland, the rock icon was not the biggest star on stage – nine-year-old Anna Paton was. While The Boss was deep into his song “Waitin’ On a Sunny Day,” he saw Paton sitting on her father’s shoulders, wearing a custom baseball cap featuring the Stars and Stripes, and the iconic “Born in the USA” t-shirt. After pulling her onstage, Springsteen handed her the microphone and allowed her to take center stage, which she did, but also leading the entire crowd in the song’s chorus. “When I was on stage I just looked at my cousin the whole time so I wouldn’t get nervous so I didn’t really notice the huge crowd,” she told The Telegraph. “I knew all the words already so I could sing along – just in case I got asked up. I really enjoyed giving him a cuddle, I think that was my favorite part actually, I told everybody at school today and they couldn’t believe how lucky I was.” “Bruce is my favorite singer, I love all his songs. I love “Waitin’ on a Sunny Day,” but also “Atlantic City” and “Dancing in the Dark.” I don’t think I could choose a favorite really – they’re all great.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
