A new documentary about Keith Richards is set to hit TV screens this month. The doc focuses on the early years of the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist. The film is set to be broadcast on the BBC as part of a series of shows investigating the swinging ’60s. The hour-long documentary is titled Keith Richards – The Origin of the Species and focuses on the rocker’s youth. It is directed by Julien Temple, who also directed a concert film for the Stones in 1991. In an interview with the BBC, Temple said that the Stones were a game-changer for him when he first heard them as a kid, with Richards as a key part of that revolution. “I felt a new way of living emerging, a new kind of person becoming possible – something I wanted to be a part of,” he said. “And without a doubt I thought Keith Richards was the origin of the species. This film sets out to explore how both he and the ’60s in England came about.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
