Cream drummer Ginger Baker has been confirmed to be “okay” after having open heart surgery, according to NME. After developing a heart condition, the 76-year-old had previously announced in March he would have to undergo the surgery. He also mentioned he hoped he would be able to continue drumming. In March he had also suffered a fall in his home, which was when he was diagnosed with the heart condition. He also was forced to cancel a few shows with his band Air Force 3. After the fall happened he said, “There are two options for surgery. Depending on how strong my old lungs are, they may do both. The doctor says he’s going to get me playing again.” Along with the heart condition, Baker also has degenerative osteoarthritis. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
