Keith Richards recently made a distinction between “bands” and “groups.” In an interview with the Radio Times, he stated “They’re not really bands if they don’t last; they’re groups. We’re a band and a real band sticks until it dies.” The Rolling Stones released their self-titled debut album 52 years ago in 1964. Having outlasted most of their contemporaries, the band continues to regularly put out new albums and tour. Richards is hopeful that the band will soon release their best material to date. The band will be playing Las Vegas on October 19 and have tentative dates lined up for later in the fall. The band recently put out their 1995 acoustic live album Stripped, in a deluxe five-piece package containing one album and four DVDs or Blu-rays. There has been no announcement of new material, but fans can expect the band to keep working for as long as their mortality allows. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
