Paul McCartney has spoken out about his VIP soundcheck shows, saying they are “a tribal ritual,” according to Rolling Stone. While the former Beatles member performs two gigs at every stop on his current arena tour, he also invites a limited amount of fans in to take part in the soundcheck before the shows. The special VIP experience last an hour long and serves as a technical rehearsal for McCartney and his crew and band. McCartney is currently on his One On One Tour, which began on April 13 and wraps up on October 15. His tour consist of dates in North America, South America and Europe.
