Elton John has announced a show at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium as part of his upcoming U.K. tour, which kicks off in 2017, according to BBC. The concert will take place at Excelsior Stadium, which is home to the Airdrieonians FC, on June 24 of next year. It will be one out of four shows he plans to play for the four-date U.K. trek. “To have secured Airdrie FC’s ground as the only Scottish venue of Sir Elton John’s 2017 UK tour is something we should all take pride in,” said Excelsior Stadium owner Paul Hetherington and Tom Wotherspoon, owner of Airdrieonians FC, in a joint statement. “This will be a night to remember for all of us. Indeed, a wonderful, crazy night in our town.” This won’t be the first time the “Tiny Dancer” singer has performed in Scotland, as he was previously played Kilmarnock in 2005, Inverness in 2007, Perth in 2008 and Falkirk in 2012. The other dates on John’s Wonderful Crazy Night tour will go down in Derby, Birmingham and Leeds. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
