The Martin Scorsese 2005 Bob Dylan documentary, No Direction Home is about to be expanded for its ten-year anniversary. More than two hours of new footage will be added to the documentary. The documentary covers the key years in Dylan’s career. It chronicles 1961 when he was first getting his start in the New York folk scene up to 1966 when he plugged in and went electric. The documentary has been considered by many fans to be a definitive story of his early career. The new edition will feature more footage of Dylan that was omitted from the original cut. It will also contain interviews with Scorsese as well as interviews with folk singers Dave van Ronk and Liam Clancy. The new edition will be released on Blu-ray and DVD October 28.
