Joan Jett and Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong have an awkward encounter in a new trailer for Ordinary World. Armstrong makes his major film debut in Ordinary World, which is described as “a candid and heart-warming comedy.” Armstrong stars as former punk rocker Perry, who is struggling to adapt to real life ten years into his band’s “indefinite hiatus.” After his 40th birthday is forgotten by his wife Karen (Selma Blair) and his daughter, Perry’s brother takes pity on him and helps fund a wild party at a lavish New York City hotel. It is at the party where Perry’s past meets his grown-up present, encountering his old bandmate Gary (Fred Armisen) and an old-flame-turned-manager (Judy Greer).
