Fans of the Doors will want to be sure to snag a copy of London Fog 1966, an upcoming box set that will feature previously unreleased and previously unknown songs from the band’s early days. The album release is the first of many upcoming releases to celebrate the band’s fiftieth anniversary. The upcoming box set includes some of the earliest versions of what would become classic Doors tunes, along with some blues covers. These live recordings were done in the band’s infancy, when they were the house band at The London Fog, a bar located on the Sunset Strip. The box set will be available for purchase on December 9, with a limited edition of 18,000 copies. The set will feature seven tracks on both CD and a 10-inch vinyl record.
