Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer took to Twitter to comment on his bandmates meeting the president. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry recently met with President Obama on Air Force One. Kramer tweeted, “This is not representative of Aerosmith!” Kramer did not explain why the meeting was upsetting to him. From all accounts, the encounter seemed to have been a meet-and-greet. In the past, Perry has identified as an “old-school Republican.” However, he told Ultimate Classic Rock, “He’s [Obama] pretty amazing, you know? Sitting there with the Commander-in-Chief and leader of the free world . . . it was really cool.” Kramer linked his tweet of dismay to the Aerosmith’s official Twitter account. The tweet was later deleted. The drummer had a bit of back-and-forth with other Twitter users over the topic. He also re-tweeted critics tweets on the Affordable Care Act.
