A new song from former Beatle Paul McCartney, “In The Blink Of An Eye,” has made its debut in the iTunes International Store, where fans can check out a 60-second preview. The song is from the soundtrack of the upcoming Ethel & Ernest movie. The Ethel & Ernest animated film is based on the graphic novel The Snowman by Raymond Briggs. The story’s main characters are two Londoners that the author based on his parents. Jim Broadbent and Brenda Blethyn provide the voices for their animated counterparts. McCartney’s most recent solo album, New, was released in October 2013. It was the first album of new material that he had released since Memory Almost Full in 2007.
