Sting will be the first artist to perform at the Bataclan when the Paris concert hall reopens on November 12. The show will take place on the eve of the one-year anniversary of the terrorist attack that took place at the Bataclan, during a performance by the band Eagles Of Death Metal. All proceeds from the concert will be given to charity. Sting released a statement on his website which said: “In reopening the Bataclan, we have two important tasks to reconcile. First, to remember and honour those who lost their lives in the attack a year ago, and second, to celebrate the life and the music that this historic theatre represents. In doing so, we hope to respect the memory as well as the life-affirming spirit of those who fell. We shall not forget them.” The terrorist attack in 2015 killed a total of 130 people, including 89 people inside the Bataclan. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
