Music fans can now check out two preview videos for the upcoming feature-length documentary The US Festival 1982 online. The first video features Fleetwood Mac and the second features The Police. The documentary has been in the works for the past four years and is expected to be released in 2017. Glenn Aveni, the director of the film, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to complete the project. According to Aveni, “we are pretty far along.” “The B-roll footage – music, crowds, etc. – is all in place. The interviews are done. Some of the music is cleared, and the rest (that we want to use) is all negotiated and priced.” The Kickstarter description says that the film will have a running time of over one hundred minutes.
