A few New Jersey bikers got a lucky break when a fellow biker had an unfortunate breakdown. That fellow biker happened to be Bruce Springsteen. On November 11, several bikers from the Freehold American Legion coming back from a Veterans’ Day event spotted a stranded cyclist on the side of the road. One of the bikers, Dan Barkalow said, “Bikers gotta stick together,” he said, in an interview with the Guardian. “I stopped to see if he needed help and it was Bruce.” Several of the riders attempted to fix the Boss’s bike. When their attempts to get it back on the road failed, Springsteen jumped on the back of another’s bike and they drove off to a nearby tavern where the singer could call for assistance. Barkalow said, “We sat there and shot the breeze for a half hour, 45 minutes til his ride showed up.” Barkalow described Springsteen as a “nice guy, real down to earth” and claimed they “just talked about motorcycles and his old Freehold days.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
