Bruce Springsteen will be an invited guest on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs program next month. The show will air one week before Christmas on December 18. Each week the host of the show, Kirsty Young, asks the guest to choose eight recordings, a book, and a luxury item the guest would take with them to a desert island. They are then asked to explain why these items make their lists. The Boss has yet to reveal any of the items he would take, but he did tell BBC News the tunes would be, “music that electrified me – they galvanized me into changing my life in some way.” The BBC radio program has been on the air since 1942.
