The Rolling Stones have released Blue & Lonesome, their first new studio album in over a decade. It also marks the veteran bands first ever blues album. Produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins (a pseudonym used by Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards for their production work), Blue & Lonesome is an all-covers album of blues classics and deep cuts. The 12-song album finds the band “tipping their hats to their early days as a blues band when they played the music of Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf – artists whose songs are featured on this album,” explains a statement accompanying the release. Blue & Lonesome was released via Polydor Records. It serves as their first new release since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
