Yoko Ono Lennon paid tribute to her late husband John Lennon on December 8 by making an appeal for gun control in the United States. She made the plea in a Facebook post on the anniversary of his death. “Dear Friends, every day, 91 Americans are killed with guns,” she wrote. “We are turning this beautiful country into a War Zone. Together, let’s bring back America, the green land of Peace. The death of a loved one is a hollowing experience. After 36 years, our son Sean and I still miss him.” John Lennon was shot and killed by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980 as he and his wife Yoko were entering their Manhattan apartment building. The legendary musician was only 40-years-old when he was killed. His death came just three weeks after the release of the Beatles’ Double Fantasy album. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
