Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi revealed that he will soon undergo surgery to remove a lump from his throat. Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma back in 2012, but he revealed in August that his cancer was in remission. “When I get back to England, I have to have an operation to remove this thing at the back of my nose,” he told the Irish Times. “The doctors found a lump there and we don’t know if it is cancer or what, but I feel OK at the moment.” Black Sabbath is currently on tour in Europe for what has been dubbed The End Tour. The tour is set to conclude in Birmingham on February 4. Whether it is indeed the final Black Sabbath tour remains to be seen, but it sounds as if it is the last tour for Iommi. “I have to live what life I’ve got because I have been on the road nearly 50 years,” he said. “I need to be at home more and I need to pay more attention to my friends and family.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
