The final concert of David Bowie’s legendary Ziggy Stardust character is set for a special film screening. The show took place on July 3, 1973 and the screening is set to take place at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on February 16, 2017. In addition to the concert film screening, a series of tribute concerts has been planned to honor the late music icon and raise money for charity. The Celebrating David Bowie concert series will kick off at the O2 Arena in London on January 8, which would have been Bowie’s 70th birthday. That show will be followed by a performance at Manhattan’s Terminal 5 on January 10, the 1-year anniversary of Bowie’s death. Performances are also planned for The Wiltern in Los Angeles on January 25, the Sydney Opera House on January 29, as well as a February 2 show in Tokyo. Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
