Pink Floyd have confirmed plans to release a pair of albums on vinyl. The two albums set for vinyl pressing are The Final Cut and Momentary Lapse of Reason, which the band put out in 1983 and 1987, respectively. Both albums will be re-mastered for vinyl and will be set for release in their original format on January 20. The two new vinyl’s are just some of the re-release materials the rock legends have been working on of late. They also dropped “Vegetable Man,” one of the earliest known songs the band ever recorded, back in the fall. It appears on the bands The Early Years 1965-1972 box set. The song was originally recorded in 1965. The Early Years 1965-1972 contains 27 discs, from the release of the “Arnold Layne” single to Obscured by Clouds and their history-making Pompeii concert. The set features 20 unreleased songs, seven hours of live audio and more than five hours of rare concert video. “Vegetable Man” can be found on the sets’ first disc, from the collection called Cambridge St/ation, which covers Syd Barrett’s time in the band and goes from their pre-EMI demos to a 1967 concert performed in Stockholm.
