Bruce Springsteen released a special live EP on Christmas Eve of his and the E Street Band’s November 22, 2009 performance in Buffalo, New York. The concert was the final full performance of saxophonist Clarence “Big Man” Clemons, prior to his death in June of 2011. The performance was three-and-a-half-hours long and consisted of 35 songs. Springsteen and the E Street Band performed Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. in its entirety at the concert. The live EP was made available for digital download on Springsteen’s official website and a physical release is expected to follow on January 23. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the 2009 gig in Buffalo was also noteworthy because it took place on guitarist Stevie Van Zandt’s birthday. A live rendition of “Happy Birthday” was performed by the band, as well as the live debut of one of Van Zandt’s favorite tracks, “Restless Nights.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com.
