False reports of Britney Spears death were popping up on Twitter feeds. Both Bob Dylan’s and Sony Music’s accounts were hacked and tweets were sent out that led readers to believe the pop star had died. In Bob Dylan’s case a tweet was sent out that read, “Rest in peace @britneyspears,” followed by a frowning face emoji. The tweet was quickly deleted. A representative of Dylan’s confirmed with Billboard, that Sony controls Dylan’s Twitter account. In Sony Music’s case a initial tweet was sent out which read, “RIP @britneyspears.” A second one followed which said, “Britney spears is dead by accident! we will tell you more soon.” Both tweets contained a frowning face emoji. In a press statement concerning the hack, Sony Music writes that its “account was compromised. This has been rectified. Sony Music apologizes to Britney Spears and her fans for any confusion.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
