A redesigned version of the famed Beatles’ album cover for Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band has been released featuring all of the celebrities that have perished in 2016. The image includes cutouts of Prince, Gene Wilder, David Bowie, and Carrie Fisher among others. The Fab Four also made headlines earlier this year with news that a superfan plans to offer up his massive collection of memorabilia for auction. The man, named Jacques Volcouve, will put up over 15,000 items including records, signed books, posters, autographs, figurines and others up for sale starting in March of 2017. The man is self-proclaimed “Beatles Historian,” and says he hopes to fund his retirement with the sale of his personal collection: “What I wanted . . . was to share my pleasure and passion for the Beatles and in some way make sure that everything said about them was correct,” he said.
