A new short film titled I’ve Nothing But My Name has been released. The film is to commemorate Iggy Pop’s new album, Post Pop Depression, which Rough Trade named “Album of the Year.” The film shows Pop and Thurston Moore covering Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode.” Pop and Moore put their own twist on the song, changing the standard 12 bar rock and roll riff into a more experimental style song. Pop discusses some of his influences and mentions Berry and a host of other classic rock and roll artists as the backbone to the Stooges early sound. However, he mentions that they, “absolved of an entire life of mediocrity.” Copyright(c) 2016 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
