Allan Williams has died at the age of 86. Williams was the Beatles first manager, working with the Fab Four from 1960 to 1961. Besides managing the Beatles, Williams was the proprietor of the Jacaranda Club. The Jacaranda was a Liverpool coffee bar founded in 1957. It was the spot of some of the earliest Beatles performances when the band consisted of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Stuart Sutcliffe. Williams booked shows for the Beatles in the Liverpool area as well as Hamburg, Germany and helped to propel them to international stardom. After parting ways with the group he published a memoir titled The Man Who Gave the Beatles Away. In 2010 Williams told the Liverpool Echo, “I’m a millionaire of memories.” Copyright(c) 2017 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
