Billy Joel opened up about his favorite songs from his own back catalog during a recent interview with Stephen Colbert. In the interview he revealed that “Vienna,” “And So It Goes,” “You May Be Right,” “She’s Right On Time” and “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant” are his top five choices and also joked about a fictitious backstory to “Piano Man.” “‘Piano Man’ was originally a superhero character . and I wanted to make a movie where he teamed up with Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man’ to fight Bob Dylan’s ‘Tambourine Man,'” he quipped in the segment. Joel also made recent headlines with news that he will be playing a host of stadium shows this spring. The piano man has lined up six shows in baseball stadiums across the US. The first concert is scheduled to take place on April 28 at the SunTrust Park in Cumberland, Ga., which is just outside of Atlanta. The event will mark the first concert at the new home of the Atlanta Braves. Joel will also be making his first appearance in two other stadiums, Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on May 13 and Cleveland’s Progressive Field on July 14.
