Bon Jovi have revealed plans for a contest to find an opening act for their upcoming tour. Up and coming acts are encouraged to post clips performing original music to YouTube and ten finalists will be selected from promoters at Live Nation and by Bon Jovi’s management. Each winner will be allowed to perform a twenty minute set at some point during the band’s upcoming tour. In an official statement the band explains how important it is to give talented unknowns a break: “Every great band starts small and builds their rep one show at a time,” Jon Bon Jovi said Tuesday (Jan. 10) in a statement on the band’s website announcing the contest. “That’s the opportunity we were given, and now we want to pay it forward.
