Roger Waters has announced that the title of his upcoming new solo album will be Is This The Life We Really Want?. The album will mark his first solo release in 25 years. Waters’ Facebook page promises that the album is “coming soon.” He teased the project with a new video that reportedly features music from the new album. The teaser clip also suggests that Is This The Life We Really Want? could be a concept album. Waters recently said that he was reconsidering the album’s original direction after producer Nigel Godrich took the new music from “a long, meandering piece that was a radio play with about a dozen songs in it” to a more worldly theme. “It’s pondering not just why we are killing the children, it’s also the question of how do we take these moments of love – if we are granted any in our lives – and allow that love to shine on the rest of existence, on others,” Waters explained.
