Pat Benatar has revealed that she is officially working on new music. She opened up during a recent interview with Billboard to reveal that she and partner Neil Giraldo have stacks of material written and she plans to hit the studio, even if it’s only for fun. “We have so much stuff written; It’s just that we’re [touring] so much, and it’s really impossible to record and work at the same time,” Benatar tells Billboard. “I think we did 160 shows last year, so it’s nuts. But this year we’re going to cut back a lot so we can make another record. We just told management and the agent, ‘That’s it! We’re not going to do this ridiculous amount of live shows this year. We’re just going to stay home and record these songs.” She adds: “I don’t know if we’re going to do an EP or a full [album],” Benatar acknowledges. “We’re just gonna do ’em and wherever they go, they go.
